General Rules for All Classes
All cars must pass tech before racing. Race officials have final say on all safety, legality, prep, and competition decisions.
No gyros, AVC, TSM, or driving-assist systems are allowed in any class.
Cars must be turned off while race officials are handling or checking tires.
Pro Stock Rules
Class Purpose
Pro Stock was developed as an introduction to advanced tuning in preparation for Outlaw racing. Vehicle modifications are permitted, including replacing stock components with readily available aftermarket parts and removing non-essential stock parts, such as side rails on the Traxxas Drag Slash, Losi 22S, and Team Associated DR10.

Rules:
No DR10M
No carbon fiber chassis
Factory chassis plate must remain stock
Chassis plate cannot be altered, trimmed, cut, narrowed, drilled, or lightened to reduce size or weight
Powerplant & Remote
Factory motor and factory ESC required
Factory motor and ESC may be mixed between approved platforms
Stock or aftermarket radio allowed
No gyros
No TSM
No AVC or stability assist
Battery
Any 2S LiPo battery allowed
Maximum voltage: 8.44 volts
Rims & Tires
Any commercially available rear tires/wheels allowed
Rear tires must be rubber construction with foam inserts
Any commercially available front tires/wheels allowed
3D-printed front tires are allowed
Tire Prep
No prep
Dedicated lane only
Wheelie Bar
Any aftermarket wheelie bar allowed
Maximum length: 15 inches
Carbon fiber wheelie bar parts allowed
Body
Any aftermarket body allowed with or without rear bumper
Body must cover all four wheels
Wheel wells must be cut to show no less than half of each wheel
Aftermarket wings allowed
Wing may not be higher than 1.5 inches off the rear deck
No floating body mounts
Suspension
Four shocks must be present, one on each corner
Shocks must be actively attached to the suspension arm or hub/caster block assembly
All four shocks must move with the suspension arms
Minimum suspension travel: 1/4 inch / 6.35 mm / .250 inch
Carbon fiber suspension parts allowed
Transmission
Stock or aftermarket transmission casing allowed
Internal differential parts must remain stock
Stock adjustable slipper clutch allowed
Slipper eliminator allowed
Outlaw Spec Prep Rules
Chassis
2WD only
Wheelbase must be 12 inches to 13.5 inches
Rear-motor and mid-motor configurations allowed
Weight
Minimum weight: 2060 grams with body
Body
Any realistic 1/10 scale drag car body allowed
Pro Mod bodies allowed
Body must cover the wheels
Wheel cutouts must reveal at least half of the wheel
No extra holes may be cut in the body other than body-post holes
No Limitless drag bodies
No speed-run bodies
No 1/7 scale drag racing bodies
Transmission
Car must use a 3-gear to 5-gear transmission / gearbox
Belt conversions are not allowed
Link conversions are not allowed
Transmission must use a functioning differential
Wheelie Bar
Maximum wheelie bar length: 13.5 inches
Measurement is from the rear axle to the center of the wheelie bar wheel
Spoiler / Wings
Rear spoilers, wings, and side dams may extend up to 3 inches off the rear deck lid
Spoilers/wings may not extend more than 1.5 inches past parallel to the roof line
ESC & Motor
Any commercially available 1/10 RC car motor and ESC allowed
Motor and ESC hardware must be commercially obtainable before the event
Timing and tuning adjustments are allowed
Battery
Any 2S LiPo, Graphene, or LiPo HV battery allowed
Maximum voltage: 8.44 volts
No Driving Assists
No gyros
No AVC
No TSM
No driving-assist receivers or electronic stability systems
Rims & Tires
Any commercially available rear tires/wheels allowed
Rear tires must be rubber construction with foam inserts
Any commercially available front tires/wheels allowed
3D-printed front tires are allowed
Shocks
Four shocks must be present, one on each corner
Shocks must be actively attached to the suspension arm or hub/caster block assembly
All four shocks must move with the suspension arms
Minimum suspension travel: 1/4 inch / 6.35 mm / .250 inch
Suspension
Fully articulated suspension arms are required, as found on typical short course trucks
Inner hinge pins must be used for attaching steering caster blocks and drive hubs
Adjustable front or rear suspension arms for toe adjustment are allowed
No system allowing active toe adjustment is allowed
Prep
PJ1 is the only prep allowed
This is an open-prep class
Racers must be respectful of the amount of prep used
No slinging prep over the starting line
One warning may be given
A second offense may result in disqualification, no matter which bracket it happens in
Heat is allowed to dry tires and heat prep
Limited Prep Rules
Limited Prep follows the same vehicle rules as Outlaw Spec Prep, with the following prep restriction.
Prep
Only one dauber of PJ1 per tire is allowed
PJ1 will be provided by the race director
No extra prep may be added by the racer
Do not come to the tech table with shiny tires
It is not the official’s responsibility to clean off prep or conditioners
Officials may turn a racer away from tech if tires are too wet, shiny, or over-prepped
If the racer does not make it back to tech in time for the race, that is the racer’s responsibility
Car must be turned off while officials are handling tires
Heat is allowed to dry tires and heat prep
Limited Prep Class Summary
Limited Prep is an Outlaw-style class with controlled prep. It uses the same car rules as Outlaw Spec Prep, but prep is limited to one race-director-provided dauber of PJ1 per tire.
Quick Class Breakdown
Pro Stock
A controlled tuning class for Losi 22S, Team Associated DR10, and Traxxas Drag Slash / Street Eliminator platforms. Factory motor and ESC required, 2S battery only, rubber tires, no driving assists, and no-prep dedicated lane.
Limited Prep
Outlaw-style vehicle rules with limited prep. Same core vehicle rules as Outlaw Spec Prep, but only one race-director-provided dauber of PJ1 per tire is allowed.
Outlaw Spec Prep
Fast 2WD outlaw-style class using 12–13.5 inch wheelbase cars, 2S battery, open motor/ESC, rubber tires, and PJ1 prep only.
